Frequently Asked Questions
Crazing
Fine cracks in the glaze of a ceramic kamado grill may be visible on a brand new product, immediately after unboxing. This is completely normal for ceramic products and does not indicate any damage.
These cracks (known as "craze cracks") occur because the ceramic body and the glaze cool at different rates during the manufacturing process. The same effect may become slightly more pronounced over time with regular use.
The visible cracks are located only in the glaze layer, not in the ceramic structure itself. Therefore:
- they do not represent a structural defect
- the strength and durability of the grill are not affected
The cracks may be barely noticeable at first, but can become more visible as dust, grease, or moisture accumulates over time.
This is a natural characteristic of the material that:
- does not affect the performance of the grill
- does not reduce heat retention
- does not impact cooking results
Glaze crazing is not covered as a warranty claim.
